Being an everyday big wave rider

No, I have never set foot on a surfboard.
Paddle ski, slalom ski, body board, yes.  But never surfing.  I have no idea why not.
But I do love watching big wave surfing.  It speaks to a deep place in my spirit.

This blog is the everyday life of a big wave rider... metaphorically speaking.

Life throws us some crazy big waves sometimes.  They come in all shapes and sizes, but the common thread is that they rock your world.  How will you respond when those big waves hit?  In my life, I have ridden some waves with a grace that was beyond my ability to achieve alone.  Others I got totally slammed onto the reef.  What I am hoping to achieve here is to unpack some of that and see where the grace comes from.  How to be an overcomer.  How to be everything you were created to be, even (and especially) in the face of life's big waves.

Let's see where it goes, shall we?  ;)

Hebrews 13:20-22 The Passion Translation

Now may the God who brought us peace by raising from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ so that he would be the Great Shepherd of his flock; and by the power of the blood of the eternal covenant ... may he work perfection into every part of you giving you all that you need to fulfill your destiny. And may he express through you all that is excellent and pleasing to him through your life-union with Jesus the Anointed One who is to receive all glory forever! Amen!
